Question: why are teenagers your main focus?

Teenagers are my main focus because it is such an important time of our lives! We go through such huge changes that can affect us for the years and years to come. The reason I got interested in this research area originally was because I have worked with a lot of young people, some took risks that pushed them outside of their comfort zones and helped them to become more confident, which was great. On the other hand, there were some young people I worked with who had been involved in crime and made bad decisions. I wanted to understand why some young people took these bad routes and how we could help steer them in the right direction.
