As I’m sure the teenagers taking part know, when you hit your teenage years you develop into a more independent person compared to when you were children! It is important for everyone to explore new things in their teenage years because this helps us develop our knowledge of the world around us. Some researchers think that ‘wisdom’ starts developing in the teenage years as you are forced to make decisions for yourself away from your parents or caregivers. But, because teenagers have less experience in life compared to adults (simply because you’ve been around for less time), there will still be times when you don’t know what the best choice is in a situation and make the wrong decision. That’s okay though, because most teenagers will learn from their mistakes and use that experience to help make decisions for the rest of their lives.
