All of us are ‘influenced’ in some form on a daily basis. This could be a student changing their behaviour to match the rest of their class, or an employee following the orders of their manager, or someone deciding who to vote for from a news report on social media.
Psychologists in this zone include someone working in local GP surgeries helping people of all ages with their mental health; a teacher of social psychology and a psychologist looking at how we can understand transport choices. There’s a psychologist using research on human behaviour to come up with solutions to problems in our society, and another who is trying to answer questions about when and why teenagers take risks.
